CS2 GSI and adaptive Based

Game State Integration tells Upceit which phase CS2 is in. Based can open fully in menus, shorten during freeze time and leave only the essentials while you play.

What it delivers

CS2 streamers who want a detailed FACEIT overlay outside rounds and a compact HUD during live play.

01

An official CS2 mechanism with no separate program

02

Automatic menu, freeze-time and round states

03

Only the fields explicitly allowed by the cfg file

04

A fully optional mode: manual Based still works without GSI

Before setup

What to know

What is GSI?

Game State Integration is the built-in CS2 interface for sending selected game events to an address defined in a cfg file.

Is it safe?

GSI is a standard CS2 feature and does not inject anything into the game process.

What does Based need from GSI?

Only the current game phase for resizing. FACEIT ELO and match history still come from Upceit.

Can I turn it off?

Yes. Switch Based to manual mode and remove the cfg file if you no longer need adaptive sizing.

Build a higher-quality FACEIT stream

Choose a layout, add its personal URL to OBS and let Upceit keep the data current while you play.
